Mark Caperton
Former Burleson County Judge

Native of Caldwell and Burleson County
Graduated from Caldwell High School, Caldwell, Texas
BBA - Finance from Texas A&M University
J.D. – University of Texas Law School

Caperton is a former Burleson County Judge and also has extensive business interests and legal experience in Texas, including development of residential subdivisions and commercial properties in the Austin area. He was Vice-Chairman and a major stockholder in Caldwell Bancshares (First State Bank in Caldwell – now Citi-Bank in Caldwell). He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Brazos Valley Development and was co-founder and major stockholder in Burleson County Implement Company (a John Deer dealership), Caperton & Towslee Title Company, and Caperton Insurance Company.

Caperton was also the co-founder and chairman of Watauga State Bank in Fort Worth, Texas, and attorney for Austin Yellow Cab and Fort Worth Yellow Cab. He remains active in the oil and gas business in Burleson and surrounding counties.


Gayle Cipriano

BA – English from the University of Oklahoma
JD – Baylor Law School, 1976

Gayle Cipriano has extensive State and federal court civil litigation experience including contract, family law, discrimination, employment, business, consumer, tort, debtor-creditor, bankruptcy; commercial law; and real estate. She has been a Mediator since 1994.

In addition to over 30 years practicing law and mediation, Cipriano was an Adjunct Professor at Texas State University from 2002-2005. She also spent five years working for the Attorney General of Texas.

She is a member of several professional associations, including the Association of Attorney-Mediators (president 2005-2006), Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Attorney-Mediators (president 2000, officer 1997-2005), Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, and the College of the State Bar of Texas.
